In the inland of Croatia there are two further regions: Central Croatia and Slavonia.
Central Croatia is situated in the very middle of this country. It covers the following areas: Gorski Kotar, Lika and Hrvatsko Zagorje,
which are continental, hilly and mountainous. The climate is different from all other Croatians regions. This area is excellent fro those
people who like mountain air, walks, hikes, skiing in the winter as well as visiting nice Baroque towns and palaces. It has to be mentioned
that here you will find a very high concentration of castle.
The other region without a coast is Slavonia, which is located on the north-east of Croatia. This area has got a fertile area, therefore
it is a very important source of food for all the nation.
